Christmas time is in the air again, and this week our lucky occupiers were treated to a luxurious pop-up chocolate shop in our main lobby.
We collaborated with Charbonnel Et Walker – one of Britain’s oldest and most prestigious chocolatiers. Their local store, in the historic County Arcade, is the only one outside of the capital and has been a destination for the regions’ chocolate lovers for over two decades.
In 1875, encouraged by Edward VII, (then the Prince of Wales), Charbonnel et Walker formed as a partnership between Mrs Walker and Mme Charbonnel, the latter from the esteemed Maison Boissier chocolate house in Paris.
Their original shop opened at 173 New Bond Street in Mayfair and has remained in Bond Street ever since. It is housed in one of London’s most elegant arcades, the Royal Arcade on Old Bond Street. Endorsed by the Royal Warrant, they are one of the few chocolatiers to Her Majesty The Queen.
Store manager; Jane Hardy, was on hand to personally assist our occupiers and guide them on a tasting journey to discover Charbonnel’s signature handmade truffles and chocolates. Broad Gate occupiers were delighted to receive a 10% discount and many purchased the much talked-about advent calendars.
Standby for another “Royal Warranted” collaboration next week when Penhaligon’s will be bringing their fragrance expertise to Broad Gate.
